Strawberry Bear and Flowers

Hello! it's 2 Am in the morning, and I don't want to go to sleep yet, so here's a quick catch up,

so yesterday was Marchella's first-day baito after resigning from the previous coffee shop, congratulation on landing a new part-time, boo! I hope this one will be better and more friendly than before. 

I was rummaging through my phone gallery and reminiscing about my sister's birthday back in march earlier this year, it was one of the warmest moments I had this year. We went to Old Shanghai at Sedayu City (i remember clearly it was a brand new "it" place around North Jakarta), my sister booked a place there for her birthday lunch.

we're wearing a color coordinated pants, but sadly my black tee is still residing in my washing machine, I always love waiting for Marchella to finish her make-up session, just to stare at her face longer through the mirror and wait for the right moment to capture the moment with my phone's camera lol

Marchella ordered a super cute cake for my sister, it got strawberries, flowers, and a bear as the candle, super cute! maybe for her, this is just a small gesture, but for me, this means a lot, I love her thoughtful side, Marchella best girl 😭 we picked up the cake near her house and zoomed to the restaurant because we were late for the birthday lunch 😂

we had our lunch at Mutiara Restaurant, it's a typical Chinese family restaurant, my sister already ordered the food beforehand, and since Marchella has an allergy to shrimp, she ordered everything shrimp-free. overall the taste was kinda below our expectations, but I enjoy the moment together with my family, so everything is fine, except for one thing. while we're in the middle of enjoying our lunch, suddenly the ahjummas flocking nearby our table, they're waiting for us to finish our meal and get out from our table, but God, they're so rude, even to the staff. for your info, the restaurant still got plenty of empty seats on the 1st floor, I don't get why they have to wait for our table (or the table next to us) while they can easily sit on the empty spot and have their lunch peacefully without interrupting other people business. okay enough with the bad vibe, we shall continue our story

before entering the restaurant, I saw an oyster omelette stall, Marchella told me it was good, so we decide to try it later after we finish our lunch, we sightseeing and scanned Old Shanghai, and we came to a conclusion that Old Shanghai is just a copy-paste of Pantjoran PIK, but smaller and more crowded Chinatown 👍.

a quick review of our Hoytod experience!

After the birthday lunch and sightseeing around Old Shanghai, Me and Marchella went to Kelapa Gading mall first, because she need to go to Erha to buy her skincare product

So, because the skincare store dragging Boo's mood to below ground, I need to find a good cup of coffee to calm and lift her mood, I remember an Instagram post showcasing a "chiang-mai" vibes coffeeshop around Kelapa Gading, but I can't remember the name until Boo asked me "hey do you want to go to Oddity? the one with the all-white interior theme", I felt like we just complete each other through that sentence lol so yeah we went to Oddity, it was quite hidden since the coffee shop isn't nearby the main road, we ordered an iced latte and a cup of espresso.

this is so random, but before we off to Pizza Place, we managed to take a selfie on the back of a super shiny car, we're distorted af but I love her idea :)))

we need snacks for our movie marathon night! we're planning to watch Stranger Things S4 that night, so we visit a newly opened Pizza Place branch in Kelapa Gading, we ordered the White Pizza and Pepperoni pizza to accompany us watching Stranger Things, and we managed to finish 3 or 4 episodes that day. btw up until this day, I haven't watch the finale because Marchella already watched it first without me, you betray me :(

Overall, I had a super pleasant day, had lunch with Marchella and my family, enjoyed a good cup of coffee with her while talking about everything, and watched the series together up until late at night even though boo sometimes didn't pay attention to the series instead distracting me from watching the tv. I don't know, maybe I just love her very much so every mundane thing feels special with her.
